  • the compressor and/or expander units can be the set of the multiple compressor and/or expander unit(s) placed in parallel to achieve a predefined ultimate total output of the large-scale LAES systems exceeding 100-300 MW of discharged power.
  • the charging air intercooler and aftercooler can be used for supplying the hot thermal energy storages with compression heat during LAES charge, whereas the discharged air superheater and reheater are used for extraction of stored compression heat from the hot thermal storages and its recovery during LAES discharge.

L'invention concerne des systèmes (10) de stockage d'énergie à air liquide (LAES) qui présentent une efficacité et un profit d'exploitation accrus, obtenus par la sélection et la configuration rationnelles de l'équipement utilisé et l'optimisation de la configuration/des paramètres d'un tel équipement. Dans divers modes de réalisation, le système LAES est conçu pour fonctionner de préférence dans un régime autonome écologique avec récupération d'énergie thermique chaude extraite de l'air de charge comprimé et d'énergie thermique froide extraite de l'air évacué.
